The private client service
How does it work?
We produce two types of selection:
Knowledge based
Rule based
'Knowledge based' are the product of extensive form and pace analysis, sometimes supported by draw bias and trends profiling where this is effective. 'Rule based' are selections highlighted by a number of expert compiled systems.
We back the best of these selections on a strict value basis - normally around 5 to 10 bets per week.
All selections are explained with notes, or background info in the members' private Blog. Over any period of membership, subscribers will gain first hand knowledge of a professional betting operation and the angles they use.
Knowledge based selections
Subscribers will see how we target improvers or well-weighted in form handicappers at excellent prices, usually with information the wider market has overlooked or underrated (or simply doesn't know).
Recommendations are patient and analytical in nature. All bets are entirely price driven - the price has to be right or we walk away. Typical stakes are win or each way singles with some use of doubles and forecasts.
Prices range from around 2/1 to 50/1, sometimes more.
Rule based selections
These bets come from a range of criteria, which over time have returned a strike rate of around 20%, and a useful edge.
The title 'system' is a little grand. Usually these are just simple insights into the way trainers go about their business - for instance, when Sir Mark Prescott steps a horse up (or down) 3 furlongs. The worst kept secret in racing, and yet in 2009 he slipped one past the market at 25/1. When the odds are right we get interested.
A systemised approach stops us becoming lazy when tackling these stats long term. The object is to 'out bore' people, by checking every day come rain or shine.
We isolate key factors, and use our criteria to flag up when typical ingredients are in place - so we don't miss considering those opportunities.
No stats are followed blindly, and the price has to be good.
How & when do I receive your selection information?
Selections are issued by email, with SMS text alerts available as a low-cost option. We also post selections to the online Members' area.
We aim for 9.30am, but it could be later - we start early as we aim to take early prices, but consider possibilities throughout the morning.
Our approach is patient rather than busy.
Are there any other benefits?
Members of the Private Client Service receive occasional inside info (we are owners ourselves, and also know owners connected with other yards), a members area and additional background information via the members' private Blog.
Hopefully a great deal of enjoyment too, at a very competitive cost.
When did the service start?
The service operated a successful trial from January 2010, rooting out a host of winners through to the Cheltenham Festival. We then took a break to roll out a number of changes and upgrades. The service proper began, May 15th 2010.
What is the staking policy?
We stake between 0.50 and 5 points per selection (more than 3 points would be rare). A typical bet is 1 or 2 points to win.
Is membership limited?
We would limit numbers if it became difficult for members to achieve the minimum recommended price - but as a new service that's unlikely to happen for a while.
I do not live in the United Kingdom, can I still join?
Yes you are most welcome, but please check your country's local rules regarding gambling before placing any bets. Please also bear in mind the time zone.
Payments are made via credit or debit card though Paypal. You do not need a Paypal a/c to process a payment & Paypal will convert most currencies.
