Let me declare an interest, HF is a both a personal friend and an unpaid voluntary officer of my company Group 1 Racing (1994) Ltd, but which does qualify me to speak from a deal of personal experience.

In over 30 years as a bookmaker, breeder, owner and campaigner of racehorses I've experienced the highs and lows, bought the T-shirt and seen the sport from every perspective. Here we have a guy with a strong commercial background, highly analytical and devoted to both racehorses and the sport of horse racing. His goal is to spend as much time as possible involved in the sport (a goal we share) and his contribution to the growth and success of Group 1 Racing has been invaluable. He's a student of the breed (in the most academic sense) and has honed his skills by dint of hard work and tireless involvement.

It will be terrifically well run, original and if history if any guide, horribly successful. One of the good guys.
